Crumbling into Darkness

Everything is falling apart
Right before my eyes.
Is it better to have no heart
Than to think of all the whys?

Am I never to have peace,
Will my sanity always decrease?
What if I tried again,
What would happen then?

Can we just go back to how it was?
Is there any way I can just pause,
Rewind back to the day
Before everything became gray.

I feel I will be left here all alone,
The prince on his one and lonely throne.
I wish there was something I could do
To come back home to you.

There's no place like home
But for now I will always roam,
What we had was torn asunder,
I had fallen down far deeper.

In this darkness I blindly grope
For that last small thread of hope.
Will this be the last time?
Is this my final rhyme?
